No Wonder the Republicans ar Having a Problem

And people wonder why the Republican party has a problem. please read the article  posted on IRN NEWS  below:

A bill before the congress could give the Justice Department the power to suspend the second amendment for those suspected of being a threat to the government
By: John Russell | Source: IRN/USA News

A bill introduced by New York Republican  representative Peter King would allow the Obama justice department to deny gun rights to anyone deemed a threat or potential threat to the government. The so-called Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorist of 2009 is so vaguely worded that it could be used to deny Second Amendment protections to virtually anyone named by the Justice Department as a potential terrorist. Furthermore it includes no way to challenge such a determination.

Before one can be aginst it we must return to it.  What do you think?  United we stand and divided we fall

Where We Are … Or?

leave a comment »

As the person who writes this blog, new words have been had to put to paper lately. Those of you who have visited here know there are two blogs this one and americanvoice2 . The original intent was to discuss only the foundation of America as related to our Constitution and then the election of our new president came along. There is no ham wished on anyone in any way. The reality is America is in trouble. America was established as a constitutional republic with a strong Judeo Christian heritage.

Having a Judeo Christian Heritage is not a bad thing as some would have you to believe. It is a good thing. Go to any other nation in the world and you will find a standard… foundation of each nation Americas is Judeo Christian. The beauty is that all are welcome in America. The problem is many do not follow the rules. Rather than follow they create the rules as needed to meet the desire. The Supreme Court of the United State in 1892 stated the following:

U. S. 471

“subject, is granted and secured; but to revile, with malicious and blasphemous contempt, the religion professed by almost the whole community is an abuse of that right. Nor are we bound by any expressions in the Constitution, as some have strangely supposed, either not to punish at all, or to punish indiscriminately the like attacks upon the religion of Mahomet or of the Grand Lama, and for this plain reason, that the case assumes that we are a Christian people, and the morality of the country is deeply engrafted upon Christianity, and not upon the doctrines or worship of those impostors.”

We as a nation have come a long way in two hundred plus years it is a shame we are destroying ourselves in the process. This is accomplished two main areas. First, as a nation we have walked away from our Judeo Christian heritage. Second, as a nation we fail to follow the simplicity of our foundational documents. Take a minuet and think for yourself it is because of our Judeo Christian heritage and our foundational documents that America is a free nation, it is not the other way around as some would like you to believe.

Did you know our Constitution in the Bill of Rights provides for freedom of religion and the free exercise there of . Did you know that the tenth amendment of our constitution limits the power of the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative branches of Government?  Here is what our new President thinks:

United we stand and divided we fall the choice is yours to make.

Things the Poloticians dont tell you

with one comment

After reading the article by Drew Zahn of World Net Daily it is the opinion of this writer that changing our Constitution is not the right thing to do. Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N.Y., earlier this month introduced the bill, H. J. Res. 5 which proposes to amend our Constitution in relation to the term limits set for the President of the United States. H.J. Res. 5 would if passed eliminate presidential term limits opening a door to long term rule by one person or party. Reminisce of a Monarchy or worse.

George Washington set the example for others to follow and Thomas Jefferson agreed in 1805 he suggested an amendment to our Constitution reflecting the limit… one hundred and forty two years later the 22nd amendment was established and in 1951. This is not the first time a repeal of the 22nd amendment has been attempted; in 2003 Rep. Serrano introduced a bill proposing a repeal of the 22nd amendment and in 1987 Rep. Earl Michner proposed a repeal of the 22nd amendment. The questions we should be asking as American Citizens are … What are the motives of these people for the change? Why change what has worked for over two hundred years.

As American Citizens we must remember America is a Constitutional Republic and not a Democracy as those in power would like us to believe. The powers of our elected officials are set forth and limited by our Constitution for a reason we need to watchful of those who may desire a change for the gain of power.

United We Stand and Divided We Fall the choice is yours to make….

Article 1

leave a comment »

In reading section one of the first article of the United States Constitution the first thought that comes to mind is, do our elected representatives know their limits. The members of our Congress have limited power as established by our Constitution. Simply put if our Constitution does not state in writing congress shall do this or that … they have no power to do this or that. Have our elected officials exceed the powers granted them; because we as a people and nation have failed to take the responsibility?

In the reading of section two of the first article of the United States Constitution the first thought that come to mind is, it is no surprise that as long as the citizens of this nation continue to do as they do, they will continue to get what they get… or worse. Curious, why is it we the people fail to see the greatness of America. Why as Americans do we allow the failure of those we elect to continue without the consequence? If an elected official does not do as directed by those who elected them, they the elected deserve replacement. As American citizens, we have the privilege and obligation to insure that those elected do the job or put them on notice that in two years they will be finding a new job.

As a person who is old enough to be the parent of a twenty-five year old. There is concern that a twenty-five year old is capable of doing the job. Many do not know that America is a Republic and not a democracy. On the other hand they may do a better job than we have. The truth is it is not the age of a person rather their perception and comprehension of what they are working on. Additionally, who is providing the information to them and how is the information being applied?

In 1866 our Constitution was amended for the fourteenth time and the amendment was ratified in 1868. A purpose of the amendment was to clarify section 2 of article 1 of our Constitution. The amendment is clear on Citizenship, Representatives, and public debt. Article fourteen addresses voter fraud with simple and direct instructions. It also provides clear instruction for those who “have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof” regarding service in any governmental position. Article fourteen also addresses the validity of public debt in relation to “any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.”

In 1971 section 2 of the fourteenth amendment was amended changing the legal voting age to eighteen. What a shame the younger generation is loosing their understanding of this privilege. There is an old saying “God helps those who help themselves”

Curious… could it be that we have walked away from what the Lord God intended America to be? Rather than follow the provision of the Lord God?

God spoke to Solomon saying:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

  2 Chronicles 7:14

God still listens as Americans we have a choice. United we stand and divided we fall the choice is yours to make.
